Click ‘Open your Etsy shop’ and confirm with ‘Let’s do this’
Etsy will provide a short survey to understand your needs and share more relevant resources based on your answers. This stage is optional, so you can choose to complete or skip to move on to the next part of the setup.
Now it’s time to choose your shop preferences, including language, country and currency.
Don’t worry - you’ll be able to edit this later if you change your mind.
Etsy needs to know information like what category your item comes under, what type of item it is, when it was made, and who by.
This is information your customers can see in your shop. You’ll need to provide a product title and description, share photos and a price. Etsy features plenty of useful fields to help you give as much detail as you can, including colour, material, and keyword tags for customers to find your product.
Make sure to check out our section below for guidance on choosing a delivery provider and how to change your preference.
If you’re ready to list straight away, select ‘Preview’ to make sure you’re happy before confirming your listing. Click ‘save and continue’ to move on to the next steps for adding your bank details.
Increase your chances of success with our recommended tips for selling on Etsy:
Capture your products in natural light and from various angles to highlight their uniqueness. Quality visuals on Etsy catch shoppers' eyes faster.
Detail each item's story, materials used, and how it's made. Honest, informative descriptions help build trust with Etsy buyers.
Expand your product range to cater to different tastes and occasions. Etsy shoppers love discovering unique finds for every season and celebration.
Add relevant keywords throughout your titles, descriptions, and tags. This helps potential customers discover your listings more easily than the competition.
Offer free shipping if you can to attract more buyers and provide clear details on tracking and your returns policy. This reassures buyers and boosts their confidence.
Stay responsive and friendly in all your communications. Positive customer service can turn first-time buyers into loyal fans.
Plan occasional sales or special offers to attract attention and reward your Etsy community.
Regularly update your shop with new items and refresh existing listings. This keeps your Etsy storefront dynamic and engaging.

Go to Evri.com to purchase your label. Check out our guides on how to send a parcel and how to label a parcel to find out more.
Drop off your parcel or arrange a collection
Log into your Etsy account and go to Shop Manager. Choose ‘Orders & Delivery’ to update your orders in the ‘Open’ tab. Select the timer icon on the right side of the order you dispatched and choose ‘Complete order’.
Once you complete an order, it will move to the ‘Completed’ tab. When you select ‘Complete order’, you'll have the option to set the order’s ‘Dispatch Date’ and add an optional ‘Note to Buyer’, as well as a tracking number and delivery provider for the package. Etsy will then notify your buyer that their item has been dispatched and they can track their item.
Setting up your delivery profiles and clearly defining your order processing schedule means your customers can know exactly what to expect for your delivery times and prices. Delivery profiles can save you time for listings with similar postage costs when you add new items or update existing ones in your Etsy shop. Here’s how to create a new delivery profile:
Go to your delivery settings, select ‘profile’ and ‘create new’. Fill in the fields about your postcode and the time needed to process your order.
With Evri, you can select Standard or Next Day delivery and choose whether to arrange a Courier collection from your door or drop off at 10,000 locations near you.
We’d recommend adding the cost to your listing and advertising your item as ‘free delivery’ to increase appeal.
You can also choose your delivery service for ‘everywhere else’. This is optional and will help you to expand your audience to international customers when you’re ready to. Did you know we deliver to 200+ countries and territories worldwide from only £6.08?
Click ‘Apply’ to confirm your changes.
