Leading the way

As a responsible carrier, we've always recognised our impact on the environment and believe in doing the right thing for our people.

Now, following the acquisitions of Coll‑8 and DHL eCommerce UK during 2025/26, we've become Evri Group — one of the UK's largest dedicated parcel carriers, delivering more than 1 billion parcels and 1 billion letters a year. As we've grown, so has our ESG ambition. Our strategy is not a standalone programme; it's integral to how we operate, invest and innovate as a business.

Our Journey

There's been a significant expansion in our efforts to become an even more ethical and sustainably conscious business.

As we move towards our net zero carbon emissions target — which we've updated to 2040, reflecting the scale and opportunity of our newly enlarged Group — ESG remains grounded in three core principles: reducing our impact on the planet, promoting equality and fairness, and increasing transparency across our operations.

Firstly, there's community. Couriers and ParcelShops have always been a key part of our operation and play a vital role in the diverse, dynamic communities we serve across the UK.

Secondly, there's sustainability itself. We're growing our low-carbon and electric fleet, now making up 28% of our total fleet, thanks to ongoing investment in technology, alternative fuels, and initiatives like our new Courier EV support scheme.

We know it will be a long journey, but we're firmly on the right road as we look to deliver a better future for the planet and people – our colleagues, customers and retail partners, and our wider communities.

ESG strategy

ESG is a core lever in the business's ambitious transformation programme.

Since our rebrand from Hermes UK to Evri in March 2022, we've built a comprehensive, wide-reaching ESG strategy. Following the formation of Evri Group in 2025/26 — bringing together Evri, Coll‑8 and Evri Premium — we've deepened this focus further, aligning our decarbonisation plans more closely with operational performance, data insight and capital investment, to ensure sustainability is embedded into day-to-day business practice across the Group.

As one of the UK's largest dedicated parcel carriers, we recognise the scale of our influence and the opportunity that comes with it. Our ESG strategy is a practical, measurable and evolving framework that guides us as we deliver for customers, support our people, and build a more sustainable future for all.

In terms of environment and sustainability, our key target is:

  • To reach net zero in direct and indirect emissions by 2040.
